If there's an animal that's as popular as an owl right now, it's a fox! Foxes have long been associated in western culture with slyness and sneakiness (they are foragers, after all) but they're also gorgeous animals (we don't call beautiful people super foxes for nothin'!). Because of this and many other reasons, here are some lovely fox tattoos for your viewing pleasure:
Fox & the Hound
Might as well start off with one right in the feels! Easily one of the sweetest Disney movies, I don't know anybody who hasn't teared up during the scene where the old lady abandons Todd in the forest. QQxInfinity :'(
I've Gotye your fox tattoo right here
This sexy little number brings to mind the geometric style of Gotye's well-known music video, and the simplistic geometric style makes for an appealing modern design. 10/10 would get it.
Another modern style
Another really popular style is the water-colour tattoo, which is meant to look as though it were painted on rather than tattooed. While water-colour painting has been around for quite some time, it's only relatively recently that we've been able to recreate the effect with ink and needle. This style certainly lends itself to the grace and often bold colouring of the red fox.
Cartoon fox
This is an adorable design done by ThePye on Deviantart which I love for it's simplicity. I also love it because coincidentally, it reminds me of Kirara from InuYasha
The devil in the details
This absolutely breathtaking tattoo by NikaSamarina is so richly detailed and I love the earthy colours. I can't imagine the time it took to design and implement this tattoo. Labour of love for sure!
Tribal fox
No tattoo list would be complete without a tribal tattoo! I like this one done by whutbox because of the detail, which you don't usually see with the tribal style.
Cute and delicate
The design of this tattoo perfectly matches the delicate placement at the wrist.
Stunning realism
There are so many beautiful examples of realistic fox tattoos, but this one is the best of the bunch (imo)
Japanese Style
I've always been a fan of the Japanese style of tattooing, but I think it really lends itself to the vibrant colours of the red fox, not to mention the quick movement of the animal.
